Trooper Ruling

A Mesa county District Court Judge has ruled two Colorado State Troopers charged in the 2010 killing of a man on the Redlands do not have leagal immunity from progsecution.  The Daily Sentinel says Trooper Gene Lawyer and Cpl. Kirk Firko said they had probable cause to arrest Jason Kemp after a crash they believed was caused by Kemp being under the influence.  Kemp was shot and killed in the doorway of his home.  A grand jury indictment said Lawyer and Firko attempted illegal entry into Kemp's home without a warrant.
