Sentence Handed Out in Fruita Slaying

A 39 year old Fruita man was sentenced to 22 years in prison on charges of charges of second-degree murder, menacing and two counts of possession of explosive or incendiary parts, relating to the slaying of his 37 year old roommate.  The Daily Sentinel says Wayne Girt received his sentence today.  He was convicted in the 2010 slaying of his roomate Henry Trisler Jr.
