Ski Areas v. NFS Water Rights

The National Ski Areas Association has jumped into the battle with the National Forest Service over water rights.  The group representing 121 resorts tells the Denver Post a new water-rights clause amounts to a federal taking of tens of millions of dollars in private water rights. A consortium of legislators including Colorado's two senators and Third District Congressman Scott Tipton are urging the Forest Service to suspend implementation of the new clause but the Department this week declined to issue a moratorium.
