CMU Get Mineral Lease Money

The Mesa County Federal Mineral Lease Board has given Colorado Mesa University $1.6 million to set up an endowment for energy innovation.  The Daily Sentinel says the money is the county's entire share of Colorado mineral lease funding.  University President Tim Foster says the money will be used for the study of natural gas, uranium, solar, wind and oil shale.
