Montrose Rec Tax

Montrose City Council is continuing talks with the Montrose Recreation District about how to fund a proposed community rec center.  The district says it needs $22.6 million and wants a .2 percent sales tax increase to pay for it.  The issue is far from settled.  The Montrose Daily Press says the city is looking at several options.  The MRD is holding a meeting on the proposed center tomorrow.
