Delta County Man Sentenced

A man once accused of shooting his then-girl friend on Christmas Eve 2009 is on his way to prison.  The Montrose Daily Press says under a plea agreement, Thomas Howe Jr. has been sentenced to one year in the Department of Corrections and a mandatory one-year term of parole.  Howe had been charged with attempted 2nd Degree Murder, but Delta County prosecutors said they couldn't prove he fired the gun.
