The owner of the failed Valley Investments will be sentenced in Grand Junction. Phillip Lochmiller's federal trial was in Denver because space issues in Grand Junction, but his sentencing in March will be at the Mesa County Justice Center. The Daily Sentinel says Lochmiller's conviction on 31 conspiracy, money-laundering and fraud-related charges could bring a senced of more than 300 years in prison. The collapse of Lochmiller's business cost 400 investors more than $30 million.
