Former Parachute Police Officer Suing for Discrimination

Former Parachute police officer Kristy Kolecki is suing for gender discrimination, after she says she was berated by a supervisor for being female, then fired for lodging complaints about it.  The Daily Sentinel says Kolecki complained in 2008 after her  field training with Cpl. Greg Birley, during which he callied her “stupid” and made statements about his disdain for working with females.  Kolecki took her complaints all the way to the town council before she was fired in June of 2010.
