A 13 year old from Eagle is dead after being caught in an avalanche at Vail. The Vail Daily says Taft Conlin was skiing on a closed section of a double-black-diamond run when the avalanche happened around 1:30 yesterday. Vail Resorts says the accident is under investigation.
