Drag Racing Shooting

Police in Montrose are investigating a shooting they say happened after a drag race late Saturday. According to the Montrose Daily Press, after getting ready to race, the victim slowed, seeing an officer ahead.  The suspect kept going and was ticketed for speeding.  21 year old Jose Garcia-Gonzales is believed to have then driven to the home of the victim and firing several rounds from a .22 handgun into his car.  Garcia-Gonzales was held on suspicion of felony menacing and prohibited use of a weapon.
