O&G Fine

A Colorado-based company operating 4 oil and gas wells northwest of Orchard City must pay a $20,000 state fine after regulators reduced the fine from $200,000.  The Daily Sentinel says the original fines were imposed in 2006. Aspen Operating says it has a new company taking over the wells, which were temporarily abandoned. The Colorado OIl and Gas Conservation Commission admitted it was partially responsible for one of the violations, and then settled on the $20,000 fine.
