The Board of Mesa County Commissioners is on the record against a BLM preferred management plan for a half million acres of public land in west-central Colorado. The Daily Sentinel this morning says the board has sent a letter to the agency condemning the plan they say would hinder private investment job creation and more. Commissioner Craig Meis tells the Daily Sentinel preferred plan places the greatest restrictions on oil and gas development. The BLM has now extended the comment period on the plan through the end of the month.
