AARP is out with its list of sunniest places to retire and Grand Junction is in the top ten. The Daily Sentinel says in order to make the list cities had to record at least 250 sunny or partly sunny days a year, and have something like culture or natural attractions. According to the Sentinel, economic data used to rank Grand Junction in the top 10 comes from 2009, when housing prices, employment and the area’s median income were just beginning to slide.
