GarCo Schools Budget Problems

No decisions on budget cuts in the Garfield Re-2 School District, but the school board is actively working on impacts of the expected $1.5 million and possible $2.4 million deficit for the next school year.  Possible school closures and elimination of multiple programs are possible.  Finance Director Christy Hamrick says specific budget cuts are expected to be made March 13th, and adoption of next year's budget in June.
