Abduction Reports Cleared

Police say three recent reports of attempted abductions in Montrose have all been dismissed.  In a press release, Commander Gene Lillard said the driver in one case told police he was trying to talk to a bicycle rider about bad behavior and that led to a misunderstanding he was cleared in that case.  In two others, the kids making the report admitted making up their stories. A similar case in Delta was also cleared.
