Montrose Runway Open

The Montrose Regional Airport says a runway closed for sewer line repairs is back open.  The problem started back in May when the city was boring underneath runway 17-35.  There were settling problems with the soil, making the runway unsafe.  Airport Director Lloyd Arnold says 42 holes were drilled into the surface of the runway and grout pumped in.  Arnold says the runway was reopened October 22nd.
