Eastbound and now Westbound Interstate 70 in closed this morning in DeBeque Canyon. C-Dot says snow is a problem, but a rock slide near mile marker 49 has caused the closure. State Patrol says there are numerous cars off the road in the area and westbound lanes are now closed as well. C-Dot says eastbound cars are being diverted at the Palisade exit, and westbound traffic is being turned around at Cameo. Again, eastbound and westbound I-70 is closed this morning due to a large rock slide in DeBeque canyon.
Chain restrictions are also in place on Vail Pass, and at Eisenhower Tunnel. The same is true for Red Mountain, Molas, and Coal Bank Passes on Highway 550, and McClure Pass on Highway 133.
