Colo Riverfront Trail

The completion of the Riverfront Trail between Grand Junction and Fruita is getting closer.  The plan is for phase 1 construction to begin next month.  The Daily Sentinel says Mesa County will apply for a $200,000 grant from the state to help pay for phase 2 of the project.  That portion of the trail will run from Heritage Park to 18.5 Road.  A third and final phase would begin in January of 2013.
