Palisade Parents Deal Drugs with Children in Room

Two people from Palisade are in jail today after undercover officers caught them dealing methamphetamine, with their children in the room.  24 year old Kerry Hawkins and 29 year old Nathan Saffer were arrested last week.  During the arrest, Hawkins 2 year old and 3 month old daughters were in the room according to arrest afadavits, with syringes, and drugs in accessible areas.  Officers also noted that the apartment was extremely filthy with trash and an overwhelming odor.  The children were placed in foster care after the arrests.
