Teacher/Student Sex Assault Charges

A Basalt High School teacher is expected to be arrested this morning, accused of sexual assault on a child after a 3-4 month sexual relationship with a 17 year old student.  A warrant was issued Tuesday for 25 year old Lauren Redfern.  The alleged relationship, a Class 3 Felony, was reported to Eagle County Authorities last Friday.  The investigation is ongoing.
