O&G Collusion Settlement

Two oil and gas companies have agreed to a settlement in a collusion case involving mineral rights leases on federal land in western Colorado.  The Daily Sentinel says Gunnison Energy Corp, and SG Interests agreed agreed in writing in 2005 that only one of the companies would bid on leases.  The U-S Justice Department says that agreement resulted in less revenue for the government than if the two companies had competed in the bidding.
