The Mesa County Board of Health is presenting its Blue Ribbon Awards this afternoon. The awards were started in 1991 to recognize food service establishments consistenly maintaining Superior Sanitation practices. 6 full service restaurants are on the 2011 list, along with 19 limited menu establishments like sandwich shops and fast food. And for the first time this year, schools and non-profits are included. A complete list of the recipients is on the county's website.
