Apt. Fire Injury

An Orchard Mesa woman taken to the hospital after a fire at her apartment on Acoma Drive.  Police responded to the home on a welfare check just before 11:00 last night and found heavy smoke.  When fire crews arrived, they were able to rescue a woman suffering from smoke inhalation.  Residents in the adjoining unit were allowed to return after the fire.
