OM Chimney Fire

A second chimney fire in two nights has forced two people from their home on Orchard Mesa.  A fire just after 12:30 this morning caused moderate damage to the home on Lyle Drive. Grand Junction firefighters say they were called to a fire in the wood stove chimney at the same house yesterday and advised the residents not to use it without a professional inspection.  A smoke detector awakened the residents allowing them a safe escape.
