The Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife is looking for a hunter who may have illegally killed a bull moose near Silverthorne on Oct. 22. It happened along the Gore Range and Rock Creek/Pebble Creek Trail. A couple of hikers say a hunter told them he had shot the moose by mistake, but so far, that person hasn't talked with wildlife officers.
